Project leader: Danica Vasilj ( APESE ), Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ron Cowie, Education Scotland
Country / Institute Workstream Leads: Adriana Novak – Juka, APESE, Bosnia and Herzegovina
This recent CIDREE Arts Expert Meeting was in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina which saw delegates attending from (left to right in the first photograph), Scotland (Ron Cowie), France (Jean–Charles Chabanne), Estonia (Inge Raudsepp and Liia Jung), Netherlands (Stefanie van Tuinen), Ireland (Fred Boss) and from Bosnia and Herzegovina (Danica Vasilj).
The first day of the meeting involved the group presenting and discussing the results of the group’s qualitative research study, Effective Resources to support Arts Education in the primary curriculum. The group also discussed the in-depth interviews that were conducted with some of the teachers, involved in the research, to identify resources that are effective in building confidence and supporting teaching the arts in Primary Education. This was a worthwhile discussion and was helpful to the group to identify helpful resources and how teachers have used these resources effectively to support their teaching of the arts.
The second and final day of the meeting was a very intensive working day which involved planning the content for the next proposed acitivities of the Arts Expert Group. This involved much group discussion and debate on the project proposals that would be submitted to CIDREE.
