In August, experts from Kosovo, Luxembourg, Norway, Serbia, Slovenia and Sweden met at the CIDREE expert meeting in Aarau. The SCCRE had invited to this meeting to learn more about the systematic and regular collection of data on bullying experiences in schools in other countries. Important topics included international studies such as PISA and HBSC, which regularly collect cross-sectional data on bullying. Some countries presented their platforms for documenting incidents, while others presented their annual time series data for different school levels, which provided important insights, such as that younger children (end of primary school) are more likely to report bullying experiences than adolescents in lower secondary level. On the second day, challenges, gaps and possible further developments of the respective national monitoring approaches as well as the linking of systematic recording and prevention strategies were critically discussed.
