STEM Expert Meeting
On the 8th and 9th March 2018 CIDREE Members from 8 European Countries participated in a STEM Expert Meeting in Luxembourg. The Meeting allowed participants to discuss the coherence between ICT and mathematics curricula. During the two days of discussion the experts shared insights on their respective national projects and debated the subjects of timing and structure of the introduction of informatics in science curricula.
Teachers from primary and secondary education presented model examples of the introduction of Computational Thinking as well as the implementation of an innovative course that specializes in ICT.
The STEM Expert Meeting was completed by a visit to a the Lycée des Arts et Métiers, a school distinguished with the Future Hub label for schools that foster innovation. This secondary school defines it focus as creative learning, combining IT, science and art with a hands-on, student-centered teaching approach.
